- Messages — the content of messages you compose. These are encrypted and only accessible to the intended recipient at the unlock time.
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, to improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Deliver messages to recipients at the intended time.
- Operate, maintain, and improve OpenOn.
- Send transactional notifications (e.g. confirmation emails).
- Comply with legal obligations.
Message privacy
Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. We cannot read the content of your messages. Only the designated recipient can open a message, and only at the time you’ve specified.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Messages are retained until delivered and confirmed received, or deleted by the sender. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Opt out of certain data processing.
